Beauty salon
near Edmonton
Edmonton and Enfield Town sit in the same borough, two stops apart on the same railway line. We are closer than most people in N9 and N18 assume, and that short trip buys you a specialist in the treatments that last: Russian volume lashes, powder brows, lip blush and laser hair removal.
Lashes are what most Edmonton clients book first. Ayse and Deniz do every set themselves, and after ten years on Baker Street a good number of those first appointments have turned into standing infills.

Edmonton is not short of places to get lashes done. The clients who come to us worked out that two miles up Hertford Road buys them someone who does this treatment all day, every day.
A bit of local character
Edmonton splits into Lower Edmonton in N9 and Upper Edmonton in N18, and it has been part of the borough of Enfield since 1965. It also has a literary history that catches people out. Two names off the English poetry syllabus spent real time here, and one of them is buried on Church Street.
Historic landmarks
Lamb’s Cottage, Church Street. The essayist Charles Lamb moved into Bay Cottage in 1833 and died there the following year. The house still stands under his name, and he is buried with his sister Mary in the churchyard at All Saints’, a few steps away.
Millfield House, Silver Street. A late 18th-century house that outlasted everything built around it. The theatre added in its grounds opened in 1988 and seats 362, which makes it one of the few places in the borough to catch a touring show without heading into town.
Getting to us from Edmonton
Edmonton Green and Enfield Town sit on the same Overground line with only Bush Hill Park in between, so the train is genuinely quick. By road it is roughly two miles up the A1010, which runs as Fore Street and then becomes Hertford Road. The 192 bus covers the same ground in ten to thirteen minutes.
Did you know?
Before he was a poet, John Keats was an Edmonton apprentice. He arrived in 1810 at fourteen to train under Thomas Hammond, a local surgeon and apothecary, and stayed five years before leaving in 1815 to study at Guy’s Hospital.
Why our regulars make the trip
Worth the short trip
Powder brows and lip blush last one to three years, so who holds the machine matters a great deal more than how far you travelled to reach them. Ayse is PhiAcademy-certified and does every semi-permanent treatment herself. A short trip up the road is a small price for getting it right first time.
Driving up from the N18 end? Fore Street slows to a crawl around school pick-up. The Great Cambridge Road is usually the faster run at that hour, even though it looks like the long way round on a map.
Your appointment day
- Allow fifteen minutes from Edmonton Green on the 192, or ten by car outside rush hour.
- Park up nearby or step off the bus a short walk from Baker Street.
- Arrive a few minutes early. There's always time for a cup of tea first.
- Your treatment begins, unhurried, with the same specialist from start to finish.
