A bit of local character

Historic landmarks
Broomfield House and Park. A 16th-century hunting lodge said to have been used by King James I himself, surrounded by baroque water gardens that still surprise first-time visitors. The house was sadly gutted by fires in the late 20th century, but the park remains where N13 spends its summer Sundays.
The Fox Pub. There has been an inn on this corner for over three hundred years. The grand 1904 Edwardian rebuild became a key local landmark and an important terminus for travellers heading north out of the city.

Palmers Green Station on the Great Northern line is one stop from Winchmore Hill and ten minutes from Moorgate. The Triangle was once where trams from the city met trolleybuses heading north, and even today most of the area's bus routes converge there.
